Reading Maketh a Man
oday’s world and the competitive scenario demands that the students are well versed in different aspects of learning unlike yesteryears where a master in one trade was enough to sustain one’s lifestyle. Today’s demands are to be a jack of all trades. So keeping this in mind the students are encouraged in many ways to use the library or resource centre. The centre has around 5000 books, some fifty CDs and a bank of ten computers with internet facilities. It stays open on all working days from 8.00 am to 4.00 p.m. All libraries and resource centres of repute throughout the world provide access to the internet, and we are not an exception to this. The net has changed our lifestyle and has become an important tool to find and sift the information required by students and faculty.
The centre is a growing organism and to keep pace with the increase of students on the rolls, it is planned that another 10,000 books will be added in the next Academic year.
It is our endeavor now to make the Resource Centre more interactive, more resourceful, more informative, more attractive and more friendly.
Three badminton courts to ensure that sporting activity continues even when you are indoors! Huge ceilings and its tall architectural structures ensure that it is well ventilated. A favourite past time for students and teachers alike! The badminton matches are the most anticipated!.
Situated besides the swimming pool, the lawn tennis courts are built in accordance with world class standards and requirements to give the students and campus residents a professional sporting experience.
The soccer matches become the locus where students from different backgrounds fuse their energies to defend the goal and the consequent bonding often turns into friendships for a lifetime.
Most sports develop over time out of games that people begin to play formally. Not so with Basketball. Basketball history shows that it has the distinction of being an intentionally invented game. Two International level synthetic floor Basket Ball courts exists in the school to ensure smooth sporting activity during and after school hours. All the Inter House matches are held here regularly. Being the best Basket Ball courts available on the campus we encourage to conduct Inter School Basket Ball tournaments in the near future.
Fresh air is the key to a healthy living. Our jogging track provides an easily accessible space to pump up some fresh air in the mornings and evenings.
Ganesh Chaturthi, Holi, Diwali, Independence Day, International evening, Christmas….we are aware the role festivals play in our lives. Each festival has a reason, a purpose and we live to respect and celebrate each one of them converting the campus into a second home.
As with any other residential school DYPIS has on its campus, an efficient medical and health care facility with a well-equipped medical team. On campus, we have a 20 bed facility with the expertise to conduct minor procedures and other outpatient treatments. Furthermore, in case of emergency care DYPIS has tie-ups with the InLaks and Budhrani Hospital.

Equipped with first aid and basic medicines, full time trained Nurse and physician available on call.
The three well-equipped science labs – Biology, Chemistry and Physics are designed, equipped and built to international specifications and safety norms, and allow for practical, hands on experimental approach which allow students to learn like scientists through trial.
ICT at DYPISP is a valuable tool that supports learning, communication, thinking, planning and problem solving for all students across all curriculum areas and is integrated into everyday learning. The School is Wi-Fi enabled.
